Ornithorhynchus Anatinus. Very Cute, Face like a furry duck, otters body, beaver’s tail, webbed feet, poisonous spur on its foot, electro-sensitive bill. Fantastic! What's not to like? One of only two monotremes (egg-laying mammals) in the world. The other is the echinda. The platypus is an absolutely charming little animal, and is truly unique.
Platypus patrol is Pete Long on alto sax, Roger Beaujolais on vibes, me on nylon string guitar and the ever reliable and fabulous rhythm section of Mark Fletcher and Steve Pearce.
