This was originally titled “Waiting for Cara”. My second daughter Cara, was born 2 weeks past her due date, we were all on tenterhooks with the waiting, and the day before she decided to enter the world, I was sitting on the couch with my nylon string guitar and came up with this little theme. My oldest daughter Erin liked it so much she insisted it be called “My three girls” after my beautiful wife Erika, and my daughters Erin and Cara. Who am I to argue with a (then) six year old?
