about

Goanna is the name used to refer to any number of Australian monitor lizards. The goanna features prominently in Aboriginal mythology and Australian folklore. The most common species found in Australia are the Lace Monitor and the Perentie, which can grow to over 2 metres long. For me they typify the Aussie bush. I am very fond of these lizards and used to have one visit me regularly when I lived in the bush in Northern New South Wales.
Goannas on this track are Pete Long on Alto Sax, Roger Beaujolais on Vibes, Myself on guitar and Fletch and Steve stretching their claws in the Rhythm section.
